In Times of War: How Strong Women Fight

There is a War going on around us.

A War against Men’s and Women’s Roles.

A War against Marriages.

A War against Godly Households.

A War for our Children’s Souls.

A War against Christianity.

There is a War going on, and it’s raging.

I wrote the post not too long ago A Call Back To Femininity.  A call to women to return to their Godly roles to be humble and submissive.  A role to let go of the urge to dominate and control and to put yourself under the leadership of your Husband and ultimately the authority of God.  That does not mean you are subjecting yourself to becoming weak.

On the contrary, that indeed requires copious amounts of strength.

Marriages need strong women.  Our children need strong women.  Christianity needs strong women.

It doesn’t matter if you are married or not, this world needs strong Christian women.

In this war that we are in there is a high demand and need for strong Christian women.  I like to refer to them as, Princess Warriors.  We are Daughters of the King making us His Princesses.  Sometimes a Princess needs to be able to fight, therefore becoming a warrior.

Weapon of Choice: Word of God

Battle Stance: On your knees.

 Battle Strategy: Prayer

A Strong Woman is a Praying Woman.

You’ve likely heard of the term Prayer Warrior, haven’t you?  Well there is good reason for that.  Prayer is one of the most effective and powerful things we can do to fight against the enemy.  A praying woman has the mighty and powerful King on her side.  She has a personal relationship with the Creator Himself.

I am a firm believer in prayer.  I have seen God answer prayers and I know that he is able.  I have also been through times of waiting.  Times when I wonder just when he will answer.  Sometimes it’s yes, sometimes it’s no, and sometimes it’s wait.  The waiting is hard but I know that if I have faith and continue to trust and obey, that He will work everything out for good.

In today’s age with all of our social media and technology, it distracts us from the one we are supposed to be communicating to the most.

This is the enemy’s plan, to distract our communication with the Lord so we become weak and ineffective.

What do you do when you first wake up?   Do you say hello to your spouse and then check Facebook?  Believe me, I am all too guilty of this myself.  What about saying good morning to your First Love and opening the Biblebook first?  (Not that you can’t say hello to your spouse when you wake up.  Actually, please, please do! 🙂 )  What about praying for the people and things that annoy, make you sad, or are just plain evil that you read and see on the news and media? Have you prayed about it as much as you have talked or complained about it?

What will ever change if we don’t do something about it?!

We have been silent too long.  Both inwardly and outwardly.  Some parts of our nation have turned their backs against God and it has done nothing but create problems.  We have sat idly by letting them speak up and spread their worldly opinions and feelings.  If we love the people in this world, we will not let them have the megaphone any longer.

It is our job to speak up.  Speak the truth and speak it in love.

This can be hard.  It is not for the faint hearted.

So pray for boldness to stand up and proclaim God’s truth.  Pray for the strength to do so.  Pray for steadfastness and faith when you are rejected for having the unpopular opinion.

Pray and then act in faith.

Where are you dear Sisters?!  The world needs more active Prayer Warriors!  More Princess Prayer Warriors!  (-too much…?  Ok, but I like it. 😉 )  Wake up from your slumber sleeping beauties! The time is now!

It’s time to fight.  We need you O Women, O Daughters of the King, to fight.  Stand tall on your knees and pray!

While we are on this topic, if you haven’t seen the movie, War Room, you need to.  It’s a great example of how you can start on your journey of talking with God and the amazing impact it can have in your life.  Fight the good fight and show that devil just who is in control of you and your family.  As Chris Tomlin says in his song, Whom Shall I Fear- “The God of Angel armies is always by your side!”
